Tanzania Specialist was founded in 2015 by Dutch entrepreneur Robbin Meulemans and Tanzanian guide and entrepreneur Epimark Bernard. Together with a team of dedicated travel experts and guides, we organize tailor-made, private trips to Tanzania that create memories to last a lifetime.

Our mission

Our mission has been the same since day one: to give our travelers the best possible experience of Tanzania. From tailor-made itineraries to five-star lodges and safari accommodations, we consider every aspect of the travel experience! In fact, we partner with over 100 hotels and lodges across Tanzania, all of which are personally vetted by our team of on-site professionals.

Our history

It only took one unforgettable trip to Tanzania for Robbin and his wife to fall in love with the magic of Tanzania. Robbin saw a huge gap in the market for high-quality private tour operators and teamed up with one of Tanzania’s top safari and luxury tour guides: Epimark Bernard . Over the next few years, thousands of travelers from all over the world traveled with Tanzania Specialist to Tanzania’s lush landscapes. Tanzania Specialist now has 300 full-time employees in Arusha, Tanzania, as well as in the Netherlands. Currently, the Meulemans family divides their time between Tanzania and the Netherlands, while Epimark manages the Tanzania office.

Tanzania Specialist has offices in both Europe and Tanzania. Our European base is in the Netherlands and our Tanzanian headquarters are in Arusha. By having a strong local setup in Tanzania and an office in Europe, we ensure that our customers can book their dream trip with peace of mind.
